.Dear period 2 and 4, I know the academic summary due today was challenging. Any student who completes it and turns it in as required will receive extra credit. That means ALL of the required pieces, stapled IN THE CORRECT ORDER! Any student who turns in ALL of the work, but did not complete all of the Academic Summary because he/she didn't understand it will get a chance to rewrite/edit it. Any student who turns in none of the work will get the chance to correct it, but it will be considered late accordingly. Thank you for trying and behaving while I am out! xxoo Ms. C

Agenda:

Update planners with Agenda and HW

  1. Conduct Cards:
    1. Teacher will hand out index cards.
    2. Put the date and the full heading on your card.
    3. Teacher will stamp cards as students work if they stay on task and are respectful.
    4. Teacher may cross off a stamp if student strays off task ; )
    5. Each stamp will be worth 5 points extra credit.
    6. Hand in your card at the end of the period.
  2. Vocabulary Warm-up Exercises, Reading Warm-up A and Reading Warm-up B
      • Teacher will hand out Vocabulary Warm-up Word Lists and review instructions
    1. Complete Vocabulary Warm-up exercises p. 8 while tutors grade binders.
    2. Number the paragraphs of "Reading Warm-up A", read to yourself and write a short summary sentence for each paragraph in the margin on the left.
    3. Complete exercises 1-8: All written answers must be answered in complete sentences on binder paper.
    4. Number the paragraphs of "Reading Warm-up B", then read to yourself and write a short summary sentence for each paragraph in the margin on the left.
